It’s been a while folks….
we have toured many miles and sung many songs in support of wolves.
it was a good one. great reviews, new fans, amazing shows.
we thank everyone for the continued support.
Things will be slowing down a little bit in the coming months.
But first we travel back to the home town at the beginning of July
to play the Winnipeg Folk Festival.
Dave and I have both been involved in a number of other projects in the
last few months.
Dave has become a member of Austin’s Minor Mishap Marching Band lending
his trumpet playing skills as well as playing some solo shows….
oh and wasn’t there some Texas Grapefruit Jingle or something?

I have been lending my voice as a back up singer for Ray Wylie Hubbard
on occasion and as well playing some solo shows and collaborating with
artists like Adrian Glynn & Matt King to name a few.
We hope to be heading back to Europe before the end of the year so stay tuned to details.

Greetings from Austin.
Once again we spend a snowless holiday season
in the bright shiny town of Austin.
we’ve really given away all the long johns and snow pants.
still need mittens for a few chilly evenings but it ain’t nothing
like back home. I do hope to get a skate in sometime here, maybe even
hold a hockey stick. Not sure
where I’ll find a rink around these parts though…
so, we are almost there…..
so close now to releasing this album out into the world.
it was a year ago that we went to LA and holed up
with 4 fine gentleman and made the record.
So with an album comes tour dates, videos, etc….
we will have an official video for ya shortly.
filmed in Winnipeg, MB in early November with Doug
Darling and his production team.
and yes, tour dates….
we will be in and around canada, uk, germany, and the netherlands.
in canada we will be joined by drummer Pat Phillips. we are excited
to have him along for the ride.

Mid August is upon us. Can you even believe it?
I write you from hot and steamy Austin, TX
where Dave and I have been settling in very nicely.
Making friends, playing shows and just generally enjoying
all this town has to offer.
The livin’ is easy this summer for sure.
This is the first summer in years that we have been
in one place and man it feels good.
We do miss you old great white Canada of the north but
we will see you soon enough.
So we have been keeping you waiting long and hard with
this new record. I know.
We do have an official release date- Jan 18/2011
but for those of you that pre-ordered you will
be receiving mid September!!!
We will doing much traveling come 2011. Canadian release tour
then over to Europe for a good month and a half.
Ok. well it’s all business in this journal entry.

We leave for what we have dubbed the “Winter Wolves Tour” tomorrow…
first stop Little Rock…
next stop Memphis where we will see some old friends and make some new ones
and play the Poor & Hungry Bar that inspired a song on our new album.
Inspiration comes in many shapes and sizes…
man, animal, inanimate objects…general decay…
whatever suits our fancy on that certain day,
it may even be a crazy dude that you speak to
during the set breaks…
may there be much inspiration on the road that lies ahead…

sad to leave this Austin town when spring is setting in
but alas we must hit the pavement..and put on our
